Prices quoted or obtained on our website are based on shipment or freight of personal effects. Shipment classed as commercial at destination port is subject to full duty applicable or imposed by destination authority/custom. Such duty will be passed to consignee/consignor whichever is applicable.

Volumetric weight is all to do with the amount of space an object occupies on an aircraft. The volumetric weight of a shipment is a calculation that reflects the density of a package. A less dense item will usually occupy more volume in comparison to its actual weight We calculate Volumetric weight for each items individually as well as combined or if we receive them on a pallet, we will measure the pallet to ascertain its volume as well as weight. Length x Width x Height in centimeters) divided by 5000 = Volumetric Weight in kilograms What next? Once the Dead weight and Volumetric weight has been calculated, the two values are then compared to establish which is greater, the higher weight of the two is then used to calculate the shipment cost, also known as CHARGEABLE WEIGHT
